Can an individual open an account at the Central Bank?
Private institutions and individuals may not hold accounts at the Central Bank. The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago maintains accounts for the government and its specialized agencies, commercial banks and other licensed financial institutions. Central banks of other countries, international financial institutions, and other foreign banks may also maintain accounts at the Central Bank.
