Commemorative Coins are issued by the Central Bank to mark special National or Bank occasions. These Coins are struck to observe milestone anniversaries such as the 35th anniversary of the Bank (1999) and the 10th Anniversary of the country's Independence (1972). The latest issue of Coins was minted in 2006 to commemorate Trinidad and Tobago’s first appearance in the FIFA World Cup.

Procedure for the purchase of Commemorative Coins as at April 2016:
- Complete the Commemorative Coin Order Form.
- Email completed form to email@example.com.
- Upon approval, an email will be forwarded with details for payment and collection of the order.
All Coins must be collected from the Tellers of the Central Bank between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Monday to Friday. Commemorative Coins will not be posted/shipped.
Coins are limited to one (1) of each, per person/collector. The Bank reserves the right to deny the sale of coins/sets.
