This series honoured the legacy of Dr. Rudranath Capildeo and paid tribute to his exceptional contribution to academia, science, politics and law. In keeping with its ongoing commitment to education and national development, the Central Bank believes his work should not be forgotten, but that in the way his ideas and theories enriched understanding of the world, the lectures in his name should carry on that tradition.
The inaugural Dr. Rudranath Capildeo Legacy Lecture and Exhibition “From Lion House to Legend”, held on May 4, 2014, formed part of the Central Bank’s 50th anniversary celebrations. The lecture was presented by his son, Dr. Rudy Capildeo.
