The 2026 Financial Education Back to School Campaign is BACK!

The campaign will take the form of a puzzle activity, inclusive of a challenge to have participants display their adroitness
utilizing a provided bank of scrambled financial education themed words to subsequently create and submit creative
writing pieces of a financial literacy nature.

This year’s theme is “THE FORMULA FOR FINANCIAL FREEDOM!”

The campaign instructions are featured below:

  • Submissions are to be sent to the Bank via the National Financial Literacy Programme’s email address nflp-info@central-bank.org.tt.
  • Submissions should be focused on the theme of “The formula for financial freedom” utilizing the bank of words presented:

  • Book vouchers $250

All participants will receive:

  • CBTT Branded tokens
  • Guided tour of the Museum
  • Participants are to identify the correct spelling of each of the words presented in the Word Bank at the beginning of their submission in order to prequalify for consideration of judging.

Here are the campaign rules:

  • Submissions must be type-written, 1.5 spacing, utilizing size 12 Times New Roman font, issued in the form of a Word document and must include a cover page on which the following must be included:
    • Name
    • Age
    • Address
    • Telephone contact
    • Email address
    • Description of the Genre of the submission (poem, short story, song, skit, etc.)
    • School Attended (where applicable)
  • Successful participants placing first through fifth, will be required to present their winning pieces in person at a Prize Giving Ceremony to be held on a date to be announced in August at the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago.
  • Word Count Limit: Minimum of 250 and maximum of 750 words (no more than two pages).
  • Target Age Group: Students between the ages 10 and 15 years old.
  • Maximum Winners: Overall, a maximum of 15 winners will be selected.
